Hansatic fills each container to the optimal weight and volume threshold, then moves remaining items to the next container. Destination stop logic is applied across containers to ensure efficient unloading at every stop.

Can I mix container types in a multi-container shipment?

Currently each plan uses one container type across all containers. Supported types are 20DC, 40DC, 40HC, and 53DC. Mixed container type planning — for example, one 20DC combined with one 40HC — is on the product roadmap for an upcoming release.

Is there a limit to the number of containers in a plan?

No hard limit. Hansatic can handle shipments requiring 10 or more containers. Performance remains smooth because the layout engine processes each container independently.
