Australian selective racking is typically designed around the 1,165 mm pallet depth. Standard beam pitch for 1,165 mm CHEP pallets usually runs 1,300–1,400 mm between uprights.
How the CHEP rental pool works
CHEP owns all pallets — users pay a daily rental fee per pallet in circulation. When goods are delivered, the retailer notifies CHEP and pallets are collected, inspected, repaired, and reissued.
Identifying a CHEP pallet
CHEP pallets are immediately recognisable by their distinctive blue paint on the side boards and bearer faces. The CHEP logo and contact details are stencilled on the top deck and sides.
